A refreshed website for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

15 August 2016

We are happy to announce the launch of a refreshed website for the world-famous animal charity, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. This responsive site was developed on the open source content management system, Drupal, and includes a raft of features to encourage donations, as well as a simple editing interface to make updates easy to implement.

The new site features a rejuvenated online aesthetic delivered by our experienced Design team while staying true to the charity’s iconic imagery and brand. This, of course, includes images of Battersea’s canine and feline residents to accompany profile information – from the animals’ breed and ages to their suitability to live with children or other animals.

This imagery and content is flanked by a number of prominent calls to action to donate, visit the charity’s online shop, share content or visit one of their centres to rehome an animal. A new donations widget allows users to quickly set up a direct debit or make a one-off payment and tells visitors to the site exactly how their contribution can make a difference.

Digital Manager at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Tom Roberts says:

“We have been very impressed with the quality and professionalism of Redweb throughout the website development project. Their understanding of our issues was clearly demonstrated by the range of solutions they provided at the proposal and pitch. We have felt in safe hands throughout each stage of the project and have been especially pleased with the level of knowledge of the Drupal development team and how methodical and organised the project management team have been.”

Our Head of Project Management, Adrian Mogg says:

“It’s been a pleasure to work with such a hardworking and worthwhile cause during the rebuild of the website. The project included a migration to a modern, easy to use Content Management System that provides an increased level of flexibility to content editors allowing easy and rapid website content updates. We are excited to develop the site further for the charity and their supporters, making the animal rehoming and donation processes as efficient as possible.”

We look forward to continuing to work with the brand in the future.
