We are excited to announce that we will be fundraising for local charity Julia’s House Children’s Hospices throughout 2018. Operating in the Dorset and Wiltshire areas, the charity provides vital care for children with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, as well as practical and emotional support in the family’s home, at their hospices in Dorset and Wiltshire and in the wider community.
Caroline Attreed, Corporate Fundraiser at Julia’s House, has already popped into our offices to introduce the charity and talk to Redwebbers about the many different activities they host that we can get involved in.
So far, we’ve signed up to take part in a ‘Pyjama day’ on Wednesday 23rd May where the whole agency will don their dressing gowns and put on their PJs. Of course, we’re willing to do more than roll out of bed, so we’ll also be embarking on the Jurassic Coast trek on the 10th June, involving a 13 or 26 mile walk along our beautiful coastline. On top of these activities we’ll also be looking to put our baking skills to the test with cake sales and other events throughout the year.
Our CEO, Luke Platt, says:
“We’re proud to be supporting Julia’s House as our designated charity for 2018. The care and help they provide children and families in the local area is essential, so we’re looking forward to challenging ourselves to raise as much money as possible for them.”
Julia’s House Corporate Fundraiser, Caroline Attreed said of the partnership:
“We are delighted Redweb have chosen to support Julia’s House in 2018, I am really looking forward to working with the staff and hopefully they will have lots of fun while raising vital funds for the charity.”
