The website for Castle Cover, the latest entrant in the over-50s general insurance market, was produced by digital communications agency Redweb. Both companies are based in Poole, Dorset.
Redweb’s developers built the site to latest web standards and disabled accessibility guidelines. The company is also handling search engine optimisation.
Redweb managing director Andrew Henning said: “Using the latest metrics and tools we will be working now to improve ranking on the popular search engines; we’ll also track user behaviour to improve the usability and content, all of which will help provide increased sales. Our focus is now entirely on improvement of acquisition.
“The ongoing relationship with client and web developer is important in any marketing mix where the website plays an important role - once a site is launched it is only really the beginning.”
With a £10m annual marketing budget, Castle Cover aims to sign up over half a million customers within five years, create 400 jobs within four years and will offer a UK-based customer service.
Head of marketing Andy Cole said: "We needed a really fast turnaround on the website development and Redweb performed well to deadlines and our brief. It´s been a good start to the relationship for future site improvements and optimisation."
