Redweb named as Econsultancy 'Most Innovative Digital Agency'

Redweb has won the coveted Econsultancy 'Most Innovative Digital Agency of the Year' award.

Econsultancy's Innovation awards are the leading industry accolades for organisations, individuals and agencies and are judged across a range of categories.

The 2010 entries were judged by an international panel including the BBC, Mercedes-Benz, Dell, Telefonica (O2), Dupont, BT, Net-a-Porter, Mindshare, bigmouthmedia, SMAC, and Newsforce, as well as digital gurus such as Paul Boag, Sam Decker and Ian Jindal.

The judges' comments on our entry read:

About the winning entry: Significant investment in digital thinking through collaboration with Bournemouth University, as well as in its innovation department, resulting in projects such as chromacam.co.uk.

Judges' comments: Scores highly for fostering a genuine culture of innovation, with its Labs division and hack projects.

Andrew Henning, CEO of Redweb, said: "This is fantastic and a great honour. We have a vision for Innovation within our agency; we want it to be a part of everything we do. I'm delighted that the commitment and effort by everyone here has been rewarded. For us to receive this recognition from our peers is immense."

"I think in these competitive times, just delivering what is asked is not sufficient. Innovation gives us the opportunity to differentiate our services and offering. It makes us special and provides challenges and rewards for everyone."

David Burton, Head of Innovation at Redweb and a key player in this achievement, stated: "This is brilliant! We have done so much and I am really proud of this recognition. Our mission statement has been to challenge creativity, explore ideas, and forge effective solutions. We have been given the space to experiment with ideas we believe in, and we've produced some great work for our clients and for ourselves."

Highlights of Redweb's entry were a strong link up with Bournemouth University that saw summer student placements, our support of a series of digital get-togethers in the Bournemouth/Poole area, Innovation within client projects, hack projects, and the opening of our UX and Creative Lab in London.
