During the month of Movember (formerly known as November), staff at digital agency Redweb raised £871 for prostate cancer research. The objective was to raise awareness of an important men’s health issue: prostate cancer. 17 out of the 38 male staff participated, growing facial hair, from clean shaven through the month to raise funds for the charity.

Project Manager James Mallorie was the overall winner taking home the coveted ‘Best overall’ award. On winning the award James commented ‘Thanks to my friends and family and everyone who encouraged me and donated on my website. I know they appreciated seeing the pain I went through on the site! Special thanks to Mo’s’ Emporium who have helped me achieve this magnificent Tash.’

Money was raised through RedMos, the official Redweb Mo Team (in pursuit of facial hair and digital excellence) Ning social networking site. Throughout the month anyone interested could watch the developments of the Mo brothers as their facial hair became part of their lives, post comments, forward to friends and donate money.

Andrew Henning, CEO, commented ‘I had some hairy moments when I was out socially and with clients. Once people realized it was for charity, they forgave my slightly crazed appearance mid-growth. It was for a good cause and great to see the women joining in too!’
