The website of Hamworthy plc, won Best Website at the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) Investment Awards 2007. It was chosen by readers of Investors Chronicle. Hamworthy also won AIM Company of the Year.

A Hamworthy spokesman said: “Hamworthy is delighted to be recognised for its online investor relations service for existing and prospective shareholders."

"The group is committed to using the internet as a prime channel for ensuring an open and transparent dialogue with its investor audience.”

The site, which features inspiring Flash images to illustrate Hamworthy’s achievements and aims, had to be designed specifically with investors in mind, rather than being an ‘add-on’ to sell products or an off-the-shelf creation.

The website, which was designed by Redweb’s Paul Seys, was also required to contain press releases, annual reports, account data and clear descriptions of the company and its markets.

He added: “Our key objectives with Hamworthy´s online presence is to keep things clean and simple with the emphasis on displaying the relevant information as transparently as possible. This award shows that we´re heading in the right direction, especially as it was voted for by actual users.”

AIM-listed Hamworthy plc, based in Dorset, is the world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative marine and offshore fluid handling systems.
