The platform has been designed, built and launched by digital design agency Redweb and acts as a support for those enrolled on the program.

LighterLife offers weight-loss and weight management programmes for people with a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or above. The unique LighterLife approach offers programmes specific to the obese and the overweight in the form of nutritionally complete soups, shakes and bars combined with specialised counselling using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and transactional analysis (TA) techniques.

Talking LighterLife allows members to set up a profile, upload photographs, take part in online discussions to share experiences and progress from being on the program. The site uses EPiServer Relate+ as its' social media platform to allow LighterLife to easily moderate and update content when necessary. EPiServer Relate+ was chosen for its feature-rich capabilities including blogging and forums.

Belinda Hooke, E-Commerce Manager at LighterLife explains, "We understand and value the role of online interaction, and in particular social media, when it comes to communicating and supporting our members. We selected Redweb for our digital campaign due to their proven expertise in building engaging, creative websites that are still informative and user friendly."

Sarah Greany, Account Manager at Redweb, adds, "LighterLife has a wide target audience and needs a digital platform that appeals to both men and women, of all ages and with a variety of lifestyles. Redweb will work with LighterLife on building their online presence to engage with members, whilst ensuring that it is easy to navigate and personalised to improve the overall experience for visitors."

Talking LighterLife - http://talking.lighterlife.com - is moderated by the client and user feedback has so far been very positive. LighterLife is working any suggestions into future improvements to the site's functionality and there will be further developments to their online strategy this year.
