Trade union giant Amicus launched its first podcast during the recent Labour Party conference.
In the podcast, produced by digital communications agency Redweb, general secretary Derek Simpson gave his thoughts on the conference in an interview with communications director Richard O’Brien.
It was advertised on the Amicus website (also produced by Redweb) and made available via iTunes where it was the No.1 podcast in the ‘government and organisations’ section, topping George W Bush’s regular broadcast.
Poole-based Redweb director Andrew Henning said: “The podcast was well received by Amicus and its members and we are now producing a series of podcasts by Mr Simpson and other Amicus speakers.
