Action on Hearing Loss launches the most cutting edge website in the charity sector!

The charity Action on Hearing Loss has launched one of the most exciting and innovative websites in the Third Sector.

The market leading website has been created as part of the Action on Hearing Loss rebrand when the charity changed its name from RNID and also celebrated its centenary on 9 June.

The site features an interactive Google map showcasing charitable activity across the UK and an improved ecommerce Shop selling equipment for people with hearing loss, and social networking tools like web chat, blogs, and forums.

Action on Hearing Loss expects the site to be the cornerstone of upcoming integrated marketing campaigns, including promotion of the online hearing check.

Utilising Sitecore's enterprise web content management system, incorporating personalisation and enhanced customer engagement, it will deliver a new digital communication presence central to the charity's communication strategy.

Developed in partnership with Bournemouth agency Redweb, the team have made accessibility a priority on the site, and included British Sign Language and subtitle translations of the key pages.

Emma Harrison, Action on Hearing Loss Director of Public Engagement, said: "We are delighted with the new Action on Hearing Loss website. The project to redevelop our site has been live for nearly two years, and included lots of research and consultation with our supporters and service users. Our new brand looks brilliant online, and will be a key channel for fundraising, campaigning, and social enterprise for a long time to come."

Victor Gibson, Redweb Client Director, said: "Delivering the new Action on Hearing Loss website in the charity's centenary year has been one of the highlights of Redweb's year. Complete with an exceptional visually engaging user experience, the site ensures that those looking for advice, support and life enhancing products find what they need quickly and effortlessly. We know this new digital platform will do justice to the important work of Action on Hearing Loss."
